Hello Gigga Stars,
Okay Okay, I know my blog is all over the place but what is new! Anyway, thought I better tell you about Hollywood, LA, before it fades away to my Archive Folder of my brain.
I decided okay well I am off to LA. Ummh, they are all brown and beautiful you think and also this is the home of the Movie Star! and you know this could be my big break at 50, might get spotted. After all one of my favorite songs is do you know the way to San Jose!.
This thought in mind I thought fake tan required. So I gave myself a quick spray on the morning before I left. Thanks Trish for telling me it looked natural. I looked in the mirror once on the aircraft and jumped back ten feet! Yuk I was looking like I had a mud pack on. Oh well nothing I can do about this now. What had happend was the airtight cabin had deposited the tan even deeper than expected. Well, experience gives you information so if your thinking of Bronzing up on your next trip do it before you get on the plane.
Anway 13 hrs later and as I told you in my first blog stuck between the Brady Bunch, I arrived in LA at the LAX Terminal, umm nothing to right home about I might add. I thought to myself Charles De Gaul Paris Airport you are still winning. Anyway it took forever to get out of customs and finally I found T6 and The Sexy Hair Shuttle to the Famous Hollywood. Located the shuttle guy and stood there with fake tan I cant wait to get to the hotel and have a shower. As I was waiting I was tapped on the shoulder by a girl, she said "Hi Sexy!". you bitch I thought taking the mickey out of streaky looking dark chocolate tan. I must have looked dumb. She then started waving her shuttle voucher at me. "Oh I am sorry, Rob from Australia."
"I am AAAAAAAAAAAAmeeeeeeeeeeehhhhhhhhhhh, from New York, not New York City, New York State."
Umm, how do I pronounce this name I thought. Luckily the shuttle pulled up and distracted any other talk.
Bags in off we go. Freeway, up, Freeway down. Uhh we think the cross road for the M4 and M7 is unreal you haven't seen anything like this. The Driver not that friendly just drove.
The New York Stater is talking all about her family being 2 hrs for LA and should she met up with them. My mind is out the window looking at the polution, I was over whelmed with the smog and its all exhaust.
Anyway first star moment, the shuttle pulled into Melrose Drive, saw the apartments that filmed Melrose place. Gosh I should have had my camera snapping.
Okay we arive in Hollywood I knew straight away that I was on Hollywood Blvd. Turned into Highland and Bang the 20 story structure above, very glam indeed.
The Receiption Clerk could not stop looking at my face.(A Queen of Course,The Gaydar was beeping). Anyway, Miss New York State followed me to the elevator both on the same floor. Of course in the elevator she was wanting to know what I was up to later. I said "Oh, I have to stay awake or I will be up all night. So I am going to have a shower and talk a walk around the shopping centre." We agreed to met later on.
What a relief I had a shower and I was o happy once the steam melted my tan looked really good. Washed down well. I felt much happier.
Met, Amey that's her name. A-May. Amey and I hit the Hollywood Highland Shopping Centre I will try and upload the photos onto flickr now for you have alook. Also Hollywood Day 2 is on there and thats Amey with the Pirate. Well I was certainly staying in the right place, the hotel was next door to the Kodak Theatre you know the place they hold the Academy Awards and the Golden Globes this very Sunday, so roll out that Red Carpet.
Well we found a really nice grill to have the best burger and a Californian Mixed Red, beautiful, see the photo. Looked around the shops and got dragged to this Gothic Shop for Amey to buy and outfit for MOR Rocks evening. Gothic is go in LA, and I hope it stays there. Have a look at the Goth Shop on Flickr.
Well, that's Day I in LA.
Bye the time I had glass of red or should I say three I was ready for bed and its was dark! Left Amey at Hot Topic Goth Outlet, she wanted more chains and earrings. Straight to bed!
