Morning Coffee in Hollywood LA California

Well I woke up this morning. I actually had butterflies in my stomach as I looked out from my Hollywood Hotel Room, on the 13th Floor looking out over LA.from the other window I could actually see the famous HOLLYWOOD sign on the mountain. How glam. I was able to get a glimpse of it yesterday from the shuttle. You know like the leaning tower of Pizza and the Mona Lisa, and of course the Venue Demilo you always think things are bigger and more grand.

I thought wow! You just don’t know what is going to happen in life next do you!

Being the coffee alcho that I am, it’s the next thing on my daily agenda after taking the Cav’s out. (Missing my boy’s).

Yesterday’s search for coffee prior to the wines, with Amey was a disaster. The supposed late tasted more like the Fijian Cava. I was most impressed upon check in to see a dripolator coffee machine in my room. Okay, let’s go! You put A into B and then C into D but where is D. I should have listened to Amey at lunch she was waffling on about the trick with the room coffee.

45 minutes later I dialled the How can I assist?

I explained to the Gentleman on the line, that I was unable to perk the percolator. The line went dead. I waited, “Sir I am having difficulty in actuuuuuullllllllyyyyy understanding you. Can we go over this again”.

“Certainly.” Again explained how I could not get the machine to work.

“You there?” I enquired.

“Sir I will send the floor Supervisor to your room”.

Put the phone down and thought difficult understanding me. (Catherine Tate response “How very Dare You!” Derek or “What a fucken liberty!” Nan.)

Well I have travelled lots Europe, Asia etc and never really been told I cant be understood.

Come to think of it Miss NY State, was giving me a few dumb looks when I was making conversation. Crikey, may be the Yanks don’t understand me. I will just have to slow up and start rounding the voles, or maybe I have to start drawling out the words.

Knock at door, entre a small chap in a blue suit with a speedee gonza lez look. Reba Reba Onduelae. He was laden with heaps of coffee sachets and a bucket of water.

“Whattttttttttt’s the probleeeeeeeem Zirrrrrrrrr”.

Anyway he fixed the machine in 2 seconds I didn’t realise that point D, was actually the top of the machine and the black plastic opened like a little gate to insert the bag. Many thanks and showed him door.

He paused and cleard his throat.

“Thankyou” I said.

He then started walking towards the now opened door by me, not looking very happy at all. I closed the door behind him and heard an echo of “No Tip.”

Tipping now that’s another blog.

Again I felt like I was back in mountains of Suva, the coffee as terrible!.
